Stephanie Castagnier Dunn
Senior Vice President SBA Division National Sales Manager
Stephanie Castagnier Dunn is one of main street’s business strongest advocates. With over 18 years in the financial world, she has become a force to be reckoned with within the SBA banking world. Seeking funding for her business clients all while satisfying her financial institution’s goals can be a challenge in this highly-regulated industry. However, Dunn has done so with consistent success, self-originating and funding an average of $50,000,000 in SBA loans annually.
Dunn is a native of Montreal Canada, fluent in English and French, with a business degree from McGill University. She moved to Chicago, IL to launch her financial career as a Financial Advisor and money manager at Prudential Securities. During her time as a Financial Advisor, Dunn decided that the real need for the majority of businesses in America was access to capital. In Dunn’s own inimitable way, she quickly became a recognized expert in the SBA lending industry. As a Senior Commercial Lending Officer and Investment Advisor for the largest government lenders in the country, she offered a successful government lending platform for her clients across the country.
Her career has continued to expand and evolve as she has worked in the top ranks of the SBA lending institutions. Dunn has created innovative ways for her institutions to provide funding to many different businesses throughout the country. She is a founding shareholder of Live Oak Bank, a start-up bank that went public in 2016 and a founding shareholder in nCino, a bank technology company. Stephanie currently leads the SBA commercial lending team at First Bank (based in Southern Pines, NC) as Senior Vice President SBA Division National Sales Manager.
Dunn’s success has been validated – ranked as one of Chicago’s top 10 small business lenders for five consecutive years. She received a Prudential Securities recognition for performance of 166% of annual quota, and President’s Club Achievement – ranking among top 5 producers annually for eight consecutive years.
